Brainstorming!

Here are a few ideas that I have for the parks.  First, I want to create more than just one park.  I was thinking about making three different Disneyland parks.  Making a Studio park, Epcot type park, and parks with the themes of animals, the sea/ocean, and a villains park.  So those are the main themes I want to put into the parks.  And anything that I do design will not be exact replicas of what you can already find in a park, but could have similar traits.  For example, I want to make a Haunted Mansion attraction, but it will have a new theme, layout, and scenes conveying a bunch of new characters and a new story as well as an exterior design.

As for the three Magic Kingdom type parks they will all be slightly similar.  My plan is to have each of these based in different parts of the world along with one or two of the other parks accompanying them.  Some attractions will be switched out, deleted, added, or tweaked in order for the parks to work together and not get too much of an overload on one thing; to be cohesive.  The majority of everything will be reinvented and changed.  Hopefully you all like what I am going to do.  I am going to start trying to list a lot of my ideas and names of attractions, restaurants, shows, etc. so I can finally get them organized and get the ball rolling.  ~Todd

If You Care to Read...

Hello Everyone!  I don't really know if anyone is going to read this blog or not since I have only just started it, but if you do and like it please let me know.  Besides that I will continue to do it anyway mainly because it will organize my thoughts and ideas and keep them in a semi-safe place, lol.  Sort of like an online journal only not so private.  Just let me know your thoughts, suggestions, or even just let me know if you are out there reading.  Thanks!  ~Todd

First group of sketches! Castles!

OK, so here are a few sketches for castles that I would be putting into my parks.  I want to focus on a princess who, in my opinion, has often been overlooked and not really incorporated throughout the parks.  Snow White, who is also one of my favorite princesses still has a story to tell in the parks and I thought I would give her that opportunity.  Although, she is not the only princess I would like to see have a castle.  Belle should also have her own castle somewhere in the world.  I think that with two Cinderella Castles and three Sleeping Beauty Castles already built I feel another princess deserves some time in the limelight.  So here is my first group of sketches.  The first is a sketch of Belles Castle, the rest are of Snow White's Castle.  I hope you enjoy these and would appreciate your feedback.  Thanks!  ~Todd

Gonna Take a while!

Hey everyone who might read this!  It is going to take some time for me to get used to using this website as I am completely new to it.  So please bare with me, lol.  Also I will try to post something new everyday.  It will be any where from a thought or idea to a sketch or even a painting/drawing.  So once again I am looking forward to getting started and showing my work and sharing my thoughts!  ~Todd

Here We Go!

Well, this is my very first blog entry, ever.  I am particularly excited to be starting this blog about something that I love.  First I would like to tell you a little bit about myself first, then the goal and main idea of my blog.  My name is Todd, and I live in Pennsylvania.  I live at home yet while I take some college classes and majoring in the fine arts.  Mostly into drawing, using pencil and paper, but I can paint too!  I'm 22 years old and still trying to figure out what to do exactly with the rest of my life.  One thing about me and the focus on this blog is that I love Disney, and everything about it.  My family would say that I am completely obsessed with it but I would have to disagree.  I would say that I am more than obsessed, it's more like I should be on pills and seeing a psychologist:)  But I'm not the only one like that out there.  Ever since I was a little kid I had dreamed of going to Disney World, but we could never afford it.  So my interest had turned to the Disney films.  My first favorites were The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, heck they still are my faves.  But it always interested me about how they had made them.  I would sit and draw my favorite characters every time I had the chance to, enough times that I could do it from memory.  But as I had gotten older I didn't lose interest but gained it in other areas.  In 2004 my family could finally afford to go to Disney World, well, not really, but we did it anyway.  There is so much to do and to see there and I was really inspired by it.  I wanted to learn more.  So I bought tons of books on Imagineering and did research on the internet about it.  I am still finding new things about Disney that I have never known before.  I am trying to push myself to somehow become an Imagineer.  It may never happen, but I can try, that is the reason I am starting this blog.

Purely out of my own imagination I am going to create my own Disney parks on this blog.  I am going to do sketches, paintings, drawings, share stories, and any ideas that pop into my head will be posted onto this blog.  Designing my own parks will take time, but for my own entertainment and hopefully yours it will be worth it.  Also this blog is in no way, shape or form consented by Disney or affiliated with them.  Everything you see here will be strictly for entertainment purposes as a side hobby, or hopefully a career boost:)

I am looking forward to your replies and insights on my work and for any ideas, thoughts, and criticisms you may have.

Sincerely,

Todd - Hiddenmickey06
